How much would it cost to buy a finch and all supplies? Not just the finch, but its cage, water dish, food dish, food, light, etc...

If you have any tips they would be greatly appreciated

if you need any more details just let me know
I live in U.S.A

That depends on what species of finch and which country you live in. Some finches cost over $100, while the zebra finch you can get as low as $1 here where I live (Australia). Also, never buy one finch, make sure you get an even number of the same species (they can be the same gender if you want).

So:
* Finch: usually $10-$120 each
* Cage: a few hundred dollars, or less if you go looking around. Never buy a small cage, they need a lot of horizontal room to fly. A large flight cage or small (or large) aviary is good
* Water and food dish: Usually come with the cage. Extra ones can be $3-$10 each
* Food: Depends in what quantities you buy, but maybe $15 for pellets and seed, and how ever much for vegetables, fruit, etc
* Light: Don’t know, sorry
* Perches: Free, use natural perches, wash them first
* Floor bedding: Free, use black and white newspaper

Hmmm. That depends on how big a cage you want and how many perches, what kind of food, etc.

It can vary from I’d estimate $50 for the bare minimum to over $200 if you got a nice large cage, high quality food, lots of toys and different style perches (which are good anyway to help the birds feet not get sore and promote good circulation), if you bought an artificial UV light or heat lamp for the birds depending on where in the house they were to be kept, etc….

Well first of all… What country do you live in???
The prices will be much different in Canada than they would be in Zimbabwe…

Haven’t you ever been in a pet store? They usually have prices listed on everything. ;)
