I bought this for transporting a Lovebird. The chemical odor from the vinyl lining was so strong that I hung the carrier outside for over two weeks before the odor dissipated sufficiently that I felt is was safe to put my small bird into the carrier.
Once that was done, the bird enjoyed being in the carrier as she went for her nails trimming.
This carrier is very sturdy and easy to put animal in and carry. My daughter just oves it for her pet. I wish they also showed the link for the other accessories that you can purchase to go along with it!
I bought this carrier as a Zhu-zhu pet carrier, rather than for a live pet. It actually works great as a toy carrier. It is very good looking and easy to open and close and holds four zhu-zhu pets with plenty of room for some small accessories. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5-stars is the fact that is isn’t holding its shape. The carrier is starting to sag a little and nothing I can do will make it come back to its original shape. It isn’t horrible, but it doesn’t look quite as nice as it did originally.
I do have guinea pigs and this case will easily hold one of them, both of them if I need to take them somewhere quickly. I didn’t have that same chemically smell as one reviewer wrote and I would absolutely buy it for my pets as a carrying case.
